About

Join Our AmeriCorps VISTA Team

An AmeriCorps VISTA position is not a conventional job, it is a year-long commitment to national service within a community that needs your time and talent. Mercy Corps Northwest AmeriCorps VISTA members oversee projects that are designed to eradicate poverty in communities across Oregon and Washington.

The programs that AmeriCorps members develop endure for years. A VISTA member's role is to provide indirect service at their host organization, which means each member spends the majority of their time in an office setting with limited client-facing responsibilities. Our AmeriCorps VISTA program offers an opportunity for members to gain advanced project management and exercise creativity in implementing impactful programs— top skills desired by employers.
