About

Thank you for volunteering to help us here at Community Harvest Food Bank! CHFB services nine different counties in NE Indiana, your efforts will go a long way in impacting the lives of families all around us. On the day you volunteer:

- Please wear comfortable clothing for walking, bending, and lifting - as you will be moving about in the warehouse, pantry, and/or outside. While most of our activities are indoors, there is a chance you will be outside. So please be prepared.
Valuables are best left locked safely in your vehicles.
- Bottled water and light snacks are on site.

- Closed toe shoes are a requirement (pleaseJ).

Please use this link to register:

Registering online will allow you to sign in on the iPad in the Volunteer Center and let CHFB know how many people to expect. If you are unable to sign up online, you will sign in manually with the paper sign-in forms on the same desk as the iPad. You'll pick up your volunteer vest, and you'll get to meet me, Adam! You will have a short orientation and brief tour if this is your first time with us and I will answer any questions you may have.

PARKING ON WEEKDAYS:

We are honored you have chosen to give your time. If you’d like to give other ways as well we have several options to do so!

-Food donations! We have a food donation barrel in the volunteer lobby, but can easily handle any size donation!

-Monetary donations! We can take cards, checks, cash, or you can donate online at www.communityharvest.org/donate

-Help us spread the word! Invite Roy Nevil, our fun and engaging Community Outreach Coordinator to speak at your workplace, place of worship, school, or club! We can bring CHFB to you.

Thank you for choosing Community Harvest Food Bank to spend your volunteer time. There are so many great causes out there, we are honored to be chosen. We are happy to help connect you with other great organizations in the event you’d like to volunteer somewhere else also! Your time spent here will create an enormous impact for countless people in need!

On behalf of all Community Harvest Foodbank employees, agencies, and clients,

Thank you.
